Player agent 'flies in' for Man United transfer talks as summer move could be sealed

Altay Bayindir's agent is traveling to Manchester this week to discuss the goalkeeper's future at Manchester United. Bayindir joined the club in 2023 as backup to André Onana but made only one appearance in his debut season against Newport County in the FA Cup.

During the 2023/24 season, Bayindir received more opportunities due to Onana's inconsistent form and manager Erik ten Hag's departure, though his own performances varied. His standout display came against Arsenal in the FA Cup in January.

Despite new manager Ruben Amorim's reported confidence in him, Bayindir remains firmly second-choice, with Manchester United now linked to Botafogo goalkeeper John. If signed, John would further threaten Bayindir's position, especially after Onana received reassurances about his role and Tom Heaton renewed as third-choice keeper.

Bayindir had previously rejected European interest in January to stay at United, but recent reports suggest he may now be open to a move, prompting his agent's visit for crisis talks about his uncertain status at Old Trafford.
