Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has made an initial transfer offer to Lille OSC for their 23-year-old goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier. This move comes as contract extension talks with PSG's current goalkeeper, Gianluigi Donnarumma, have stalled. Donnarumma, whose five-year deal signed in 2021 expires next summer, is entering the final year of his contract.
PSG have identified Chevalier, a young French international, as their desired next first-choice goalkeeper. They view him as an ideal fit for sporting advisor Luis Campos's vision due to his attitude, experience, and potential. PSG have reportedly already agreed personal terms with Chevalier on a five-year contract.
However, PSG's opening bid for the player is reported to be below €40 million. Lille OSC are expected to reject this initial offer from their Ligue 1 rivals.
