The Baltimore Ravens announced six roster moves on Saturday, including the signing of three players. Among these signings are running back D'Ernest Johnson and defensive lineman Brent Urban.
Johnson, 29, entered the NFL undrafted from South Florida in 2019. He signed with the Cleveland Browns initially, re-signing for one year in 2022. After joining the Jacksonville Jaguars on a $1.2 million contract for 2023, he returned on another one-year deal in 2024. During the 2024 season with Jacksonville, Johnson played 14 games, rushing for 143 yards on 32 attempts (4.5 yards per carry) and adding 96 receiving yards on 12 catches.
Urban, 34, was originally selected by the Ravens in the fourth round of the 2014 NFL Draft from Virginia. Following his rookie contract, he re-signed with Baltimore for one year at $1 million in 2018. After stints with the Tennessee Titans (2019), Chicago Bears (2019-2020), and Dallas Cowboys (2021), he rejoined the Ravens in August 2022 and remained with the team. In 2024, Urban appeared in 13 games for Baltimore, recording 20 tackles and two pass defenses without any sacks.
