Real Madrid take shock decision to consider offers for second superstar forward

Real Madrid are reportedly open to considering an exit for Vinicius Junior this summer amid an ongoing contract dispute. The Brazilian forward has been locked in negotiations for nearly a year, demanding wages matching Kylian Mbappé's €23 million annual earnings (including bonuses), a 50% increase from his current €15 million salary. Club president Florentino Pérez has refused these demands.

With two years remaining on Vinicius' contract and no resolution in sight, Spanish outlet MD reports Real Madrid would entertain "a good offer" for the player. His position is further weakened by having just completed his least impressive season in three to four years, solidifying the club's stance.

Should Vinicius depart, Real Madrid would reportedly pursue Manchester City striker Erling Haaland, a long-term target of Pérez since his Borussia Dortmund days. The club would use funds from any sale toward this transfer.

A "good offer" likely means a bid of hundreds of millions of euros, potentially from Saudi Arabia where earlier rumors suggested a €350 million proposal. Such a deal could transform Real Madrid's finances and may also serve as pressure tactic to make Vinicius accept reduced contract terms.
