Real Madrid players will each receive approximately €280,000 ($330,000) for reaching the Club World Cup semifinals, though this is significantly less than the potential winnings had they won the tournament.
Club president Florentino Pérez expressed strong institutional support for the newly expanded tournament, thanking FIFA and DAZN and stating the competition "means a lot" to Real Madrid, while expressing confidence in the new format's success.
Madrid's campaign included a 1–1 draw against Al Hilal in the opening group game. They then secured group-stage victories over Pachuca and RB Salzburg, followed by a 1–0 win against Juventus in the round of 16 and a chaotic quarterfinal victory over Borussia Dortmund.
Despite the club earning an estimated $82.5 million for reaching the semifinals, only about 9% was allocated to player bonuses. According to reports, players earned €50,000 ($59,000) for progressing from the group stage, €80,000 ($94,000) for the last-16 win, and €150,000 ($176,000) for the quarterfinal victory. Winning the entire tournament would have reportedly earned each player €1 million ($1.2 million).
For comparison, Chelsea players each earned around $470,000 for winning the previous Club World Cup. Chelsea defeated Paris Saint-Germain in the final, the same team that emphatically beat Real Madrid 4–0 in the semifinals.
