Fenerbahce, managed by Jose Mourinho, are reportedly interested in signing Liverpool's first-choice goalkeeper, Alisson Becker, as they search for an experienced replacement following Dominik Livaković's departure.
Their pursuit of a new goalkeeper has proven difficult; an initial attempt to sign Manchester City's Ederson Moraes failed due to City's €20m asking price, which deterred both Fenerbahce and rivals Galatasaray.
This has led Fenerbahce to shift their focus towards Alisson, a highly accomplished goalkeeper for both Liverpool and Brazil, who made 35 appearances last season and is under contract until 2027.
However, reports indicate no concrete transfer talks or offers have been made for Alisson at this stage.
From Liverpool's perspective, losing Alisson is viewed as highly improbable. He is a world-class player central to the team's recent successes, and the club has no plans to sell him, especially after signing Giorgi Mamardashvili, who is expected to provide competition rather than be an immediate replacement.
The combination of Alisson's long contract, his vital status within the Liverpool squad, and the club's ambitions makes any potential transfer away from Anfield this summer seem monumentally difficult and highly unlikely.
Consequently, Mourinho may need to look elsewhere to fill his goalkeeping vacancy before the transfer window closes. Liverpool supporters largely dismiss the rumor, emphasizing Alisson's status as arguably the world's best goalkeeper, his critical leadership and match-winning abilities, and the implausibility of him moving to the Süper Lig at this stage of his career.
