Go Ahead Eagles anticipate receiving an offer from Rangers for Finnish international winger Oliver Antman. The Dutch club is also waiting to see if Celtic will make another attempt to sign Danish winger Jakob Breum, having already rejected three bids from the Scottish champions for him.
Antman, 23, attracted attention after providing 15 assists in 32 league games during his debut Eredivisie season and has also been heavily linked with Sheffield United. Rangers have now developed a firm interest in the right-sided attacker. Go Ahead Eagles, who signed Antman last summer from Nordsjaelland, are seeking a fee exceeding £5 million and have been informed by intermediaries to expect an offer from Rangers.
Rangers have also submitted a loan offer with an obligation to buy for £8 million for Crystal Palace winger Jesurun Rak-Sakyi, a player manager Russell Martin previously tried to sign at Southampton.
Meanwhile, Celtic have seen multiple bids for Danish under-21 international Jakob Breum rejected by Go Ahead Eagles. Celtic, needing wide players after selling Nicholas Kuhn and losing Jota to injury, initially offered £1.5 million. They subsequently increased their offers to £1.75 million plus add-ons and then £3 million. However, Go Ahead Eagles value Breum, signed from Odense in 2023, at €7.5 million (£6.5 million). Club officials deem this valuation fair and realistic, insisting Breum won't be sold cheaply, noting PSV had him high on their shortlist before signing another player.
Celtic also maintain a long-term interest in Belgian winger Michel-Ange Balikwisha from Antwerp.
