The Golden State Warriors rejected a sign-and-trade proposal from the Phoenix Suns involving Jonathan Kuminga. The Suns offered Grayson Allen as the centerpiece of the package.
Despite Allen's strong season in Phoenix (averaging 10.6 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and shooting 42.6% from three-point range) and his skills in spacing and defense – areas typically valued by the Warriors – the team declined the offer. The Warriors reportedly do not have interest in Allen, particularly due to his contract.
The Warriors' stance on trading Kuminga remains firm. They are seeking a first-round draft pick and a young player with upside potential in any deal. They are not eager to take on veteran salaries unless the offer significantly improves their team, which the Suns' proposal did not meet. The Sacramento Kings have also made offers, but no movement has occurred on that front either.
Kuminga, a restricted free agent, stated he is in "absolutely no rush" to accept the Warriors' current contract offers. He confirmed he has not accepted any deal from Golden State and is actively exploring sign-and-trade options, with the Suns and Kings identified as teams that have made concrete offers recently.
