FC Barcelona's 17-year-old rising star, Lamine Yamal, sparked attention by vacationing in Brazil with his idol, Neymar Jr. Yamal shared social media images showing him surfing with Gabriel Medina, playing barefoot football in the Rocinha favela, and relaxing at Neymar's luxury villa in Mangaratiba.

While many fans viewed the vacation as deserved downtime, others expressed concern that Neymar's lifestyle and environment could negatively influence the young player. Responding to these concerns, Yamal's teammate and Barcelona's veteran goalkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny dismissed the worries in an interview. He stated, "Everyone has their own path. Personally, I don’t see any alarming signs." Szczęsny reflected on Neymar's unique character, suggesting that while some believe Neymar could have achieved more with a different mindset, his joyful approach is precisely what made him inspirational to millions.
