The decision on the EuroLeague Final Four has been postponed

The decision on the host city for the next EuroLeague Final Four has been delayed, leaving basketball fans waiting for clarity on the event's location.

Initially, three cities – Belgrade, Athens, and Valencia – were contenders to host the event next season. However, Valencia has now been officially eliminated from the race, leaving only Belgrade and Athens as the final two candidates.

This leaves the question unresolved: Belgrade or Athens? The final decision is now expected in September.

Belgrade has previously hosted the Final Four twice, in 2018 and 2022. Athens last hosted at the OAKA Arena in 2007, and the Greek capital is actively pursuing the event, with its mayor reportedly holding direct talks with EuroLeague Executive Director Dejan Bodiroga.

The delay stems from a failure to reach a consensus during the latest meeting of the league's shareholders.
