Two hospitalized with serious injuries after crash east of Lincoln

A serious crash occurred east of Lincoln, Nebraska on Tuesday afternoon, resulting in two people being seriously injured. The collision was reported at approximately 1:20 p.m. at the intersection of 148th and Adams streets.

According to the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office, a semitrailer and a passenger vehicle were involved in the crash. Two occupants of the car—an older woman and a child—sustained serious injuries and were transported to a hospital. The driver of the semi-truck was not injured.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Authorities closed 148th Street between Holdrege Street and Havelock Avenue following the incident.
