UP surges past FEU, takes lead in UAAP Men’s Football

The NLEX team marked the commencement of the PBA's 50th season by hosting its first-ever fan send-off event at SM Clark. In other PBA news, Aljun Melecio has joined the NorthPort team, with the president of Pureblends attending the signing ceremony. Following the 2025 PBA Draft, 36 drafted players have not been signed to any team. In UAAP developments, before departing from UST, Andwele Cabañero passed on leadership responsibilities to his cousin, Rowie. Kacey Dela Rosa and Elaine Etang continue to cherish their bond from the Gilas Women's team, even as they resume their rivalry in the UAAP. On the football field, UP surged past FEU to take the lead in the UAAP Men's Football standings, while UST managed a draw against Adamson thanks to a late header by Jarred Regis.

Elsewhere in Philippine sports, San Beda alumni have revived the NCAA season pass for Season 101, now including games for the Red Cubs. In the Shakey's Super League (SSL), Casiey Dongallo led UP to a comeback victory over UST in a five-set thriller, and FEU overpowered JRU with strong performances from Ann Asis and Gerzel Petallo. In the V-League, both FEU and Benilde have secured spots in the Final Four, with FEU advancing to the semifinals as NU and Benilde were eliminated from contention.
