Real Madrid have initiated contract renewal talks with Vinicius Jr. amid significant interest from Saudi Arabia. The club aims to secure the future of the 24-year-old superstar, whose current contract expires in 2027, especially as Saudi Arabia has presented a substantial offer.
Following a recent meeting with Vinicius Jr.'s representatives, Real Madrid presented their first renewal proposal. However, according to reports, the player and his camp have rejected this initial offer. Vinicius signed his last contract in 2022 (officially announced in 2023), which includes a €1 billion release clause.
Currently earning a net annual salary of approximately €15 million after bonuses—including one linked to his FIFA Best Men’s Player award—Real Madrid proposed an improved salary during mid-January talks at Valdebebas. This proposal was declined by Vinicius' representatives and a family member present at the meeting.
Despite the rejection, negotiations between the club and the Brazilian international will continue. Since joining Real Madrid in 2018, Vinicius has made 293 appearances across all competitions, contributing 101 goals and 83 assists.
