WNBA guard Grace Berger has signed a second seven-day hardship contract with the Dallas Wings, announced on Thursday. This follows her release from the Wings on Wednesday after her initial seven-day contract signed on July 16th expired.
Berger's 2025 season has involved significant movement. She began the year with the Indiana Fever but was claimed off waivers by the Minnesota Lynx in February. However, the Lynx waived her during training camp. She then signed with the Los Angeles Sparks in June but was released just three days later.
Despite playing for three different teams (Indiana, Minnesota, Los Angeles) before joining Dallas, Berger has seen limited court time this season, appearing in only two games. Her previous performance with the Indiana Fever over two seasons averaged 3.7 points, 1.6 rebounds, and 1.6 assists in 13.3 minutes per game.
The Dallas Wings, currently holding the league's second-worst record at 7-17, have 12 active players. They signed Berger using hardship contracts, a mechanism often used for short-term roster needs, especially with guard Ty Harris out for the season due to a knee injury. She is available for their next game against Golden State.
