Cess Robles and Karen Verdeflor beef up ZUS Coffee Thunderbelles

ZUS Coffee, following its best performance in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) to date, has acquired two new players, outside hitter Cess Robles and libero Karen Verdeflor, from the recently disbanded Chery Tiggo team. Coach Jerry Yee announced the signings, expressing hope that these additions will be key to solving the championship puzzle.

The new players are expected to strengthen an already formidable ZUS roster, which includes Thea Gagate, Jovelyn Gonzaga, Alexis Miner, Alyssa Eroa, Fiola Ceballos, and Riza Nogales. This core recently led the Thunderbelles to a runner-up finish in the PVL Reinforced Conference, narrowly missing the championship to the Petro Gazz Angels.

This second-place achievement marks the best finish for the Strong Group Athletics-owned franchise since it joined the league last year. With the arrival of Robles and Verdeflor, the team's future prospects appear even brighter, as Coach Yee emphasized they are great additions to the squad.
