Monterrey VS Toluca

Monterrey last won the title six years ago, and after winning the title the results dropped off quickly in the second season, before returning to the league's strongest teams in recent seasons. This season they only finished fifth in the spring season, but they did make it to the final, unfortunately missing out on the title against Mexican America. By the autumn they had similarly stumbled, finishing just seventh in the regular season, but still kicking off from the play-offs. They're definitely looking to replicate their trip to the finals in the spring, and will have to see how they actually play to win the title. Toluca has one more league title than Monterrey, and the two teams are considered to be in the same bracket, though it's been more than a decade since they last won a title. They finished second in the regular season in the spring, but were eliminated in the first round by eventual champions Mexican America. They made a comeback in the autumn, and also got the first place in the regular season straight away. For Toluca, they don't want to end up in the first round again, they want to go farther and win the league title that they have been missing for a long time. There is not much difference between the two teams, with Toluca having a slight edge in recent form and in recent meetings. The 25 points awarded to Monterrey by the judges is a fair score, but Toluca, who are in better form, are still the team to look forward to.
