Arsenal's significant transfer business this summer is largely defined, with Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad highlighted as their most important signing so far. Squad depth has been bolstered by the arrivals of Kepa Arrizabalaga and Christian Norgaard, while signings Noni Madueke (Chelsea) and Cristhian Mosquera (Valencia) are also expected to fill similar roles. The club is additionally set to recruit Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting CP, a move considered as crucial as Zubimendi's.
However, before pursuing a potential deal for Eberechi Eze, Arsenal may need to balance their finances through player sales. Reports indicate Fabio Vieira is among the first-team players identified for sale. Vieira spent last season on loan at FC Porto, and upon his return, there are reportedly no plans to reintegrate the 25-year-old into Mikel Arteta's squad.
Consequently, Arsenal are willing to sell Vieira for £20 million this summer. This represents a potential loss of around £10 million, as the club paid £30 million to sign the attacking midfielder in 2022. Interest has emerged from Italian side Parma, now managed by former Arsenal coach Carlos Cuesta, who is familiar with Vieira's abilities from their time together at Arsenal.
Vieira himself is reportedly keen on reuniting with Cuesta at Parma if a transfer can be agreed. This potential sale contrasts sharply with the initial high expectations when Arteta and Edu signed Vieira in 2022, with both describing him as a "special" talent and seemingly viewing him as a game-changing creative addition.
