Manager Mikel Arteta, aiming to overcome the narrow title misses of the last three seasons, is actively strengthening the squad this summer. He has already signed Martin Zubimendi and Kepa and appears close to completing deals for Sporting striker Viktor Gyokeres and Brentford midfielder Christian Norgaard. Timber, who recovered from an ACL injury suffered in his first season to become a versatile defensive option last campaign, is among the players returning for pre-season.
