Clippers Predicted To Move on From Three-Time NBA All-Star

Following three consecutive first-round playoff exits, the LA Clippers made significant roster changes during the 2025 NBA offseason, adding veterans Bradley Beal, John Collins, Brook Lopez, and Chris Paul. Beal, in particular, is expected to dramatically improve the team's championship prospects, while the other acquisitions are also anticipated to play key roles.

The Clippers' most notable departure was Norman Powell, who was traded to the Miami Heat in a three-team deal that brought John Collins from the Utah Jazz. Additionally, the team lost Amir Coffey in free agency, as he signed with the Milwaukee Bucks. The Clippers are also expected to lose Ben Simmons, with Bleacher Report's Eric Pincus predicting he will sign a minimum deal with the New York Knicks.

Simmons, who joined the Clippers after a buyout from the Brooklyn Nets during the 2024-25 season, played only 18 games due to injuries, averaging 2.9 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game. Despite his defensive abilities, his tenure was considered disappointing, and the Clippers have shown no interest in re-signing him, opting instead for their new veteran additions.
