ESPN's most 'disliked' offseason move for Jaguars has instead impressed Coen, Lawrence

Despite Walder's doubts, early signs in the Jaguars' offseason program suggest the signing is benefiting their offense. The team's perspective, highlighted by GM James Gladstone in March, is that Brown is an ascending player whose untapped potential will be unlocked playing in offensive coordinator Liam Coen's system.

Brown has earned significant praise from quarterback Trevor Lawrence during OTAs and minicamp. Lawrence specifically lauded Brown's speed, ability to stretch the field vertically, football intelligence, quick grasp of the offensive system, and consistent positioning, noting Brown frequently gets open and receives the ball in practice.

Brown's speed adds a new dimension to the Jaguars' offense, allowing them to threaten defenses deep or utilize him on quick passes near the line of scrimmage to capitalize on his yards-after-catch ability. Furthermore, Coen has noted Brown's effectiveness on intermediate routes, meaning he can impact all three levels of the field and attack defenses in multiple ways.
