Ex Inter Milan Captain Reveals The True Reason Why He Joined PSG: “I Would Have Stayed With The Right Salary”

Milan Skriniar transferred from Inter Milan to Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer in the summer of 2023. In an interview, he discussed the reasons behind his move to the French club.

Skriniar had joined Inter from Sampdoria in 2017 and developed into one of the team's key players, establishing himself as one of Europe's top defenders. He eventually became captain at Inter, fulfilling a personal dream in Serie A.

As he entered the final year of his contract with Inter, several foreign clubs including PSG showed interest in signing him. Despite his important role at Inter, Skriniar decided to leave the club two years prior to his actual departure and accepted a lucrative offer from Paris Saint-Germain.

However, his time at PSG did not work out as planned. Frustrated by limited playing opportunities, Skriniar left the French club last winter, initially joining Fenerbahce on loan before making the move permanent in the summer of 2024.
