The Phoenix Suns and their fans are enthusiastic about the addition of rookie Koby Brea, a sharpshooter from Kentucky, with fans already purchasing his jersey. A dedicated fan, wearing Brea's No. 14 Suns jersey, recreated one of Brea's signature moments from his time at Kentucky: a sequence involving pump fakes, a side-step behind the back, and a drilled three-pointer, mimicking Brea's "En Fuego" play against Florida in January.
This fan video, shared on TikTok and captioned "koby brea suns jersey got me feeling fuego," received approval from Koby Brea himself. Brea reposted the video on his own Instagram story, showing support for the fan.
Brea was selected by the Suns with the 41st overall pick in the second round and signed on a two-way contract. Suns general manager Brian Gregory praised Brea's proven shooting ability throughout his college career at Dayton and Kentucky. Gregory highlighted Brea's consistent improvement year after year, expanding his shooting repertoire from spot-ups to include shots off pindowns, stagger screens, dribble actions, and NBA-style moves like side-step and stepback threes. Gregory emphasized this progression was a key factor in drafting him, stating definitively that "He is an NBA three-point shooter."
