Ghana midfielder Bernard Mensah sent off in Al-Nasr’s defeat to Al-Wasl in UAE top-flight

Ghana international Bernard Mensah was sent off during Al-Nasr's 2-1 defeat to Al-Wasl in the United Arab Emirates Pro League on Saturday. He received a straight red card before halftime, reducing his team to ten men for the remainder of the match.

Al-Wasl took the lead in the 26th minute with a goal from Adryelson, and Ali Saleh extended their advantage later in the first half. Despite playing with a numerical disadvantage, Al-Nasr managed to score a consolation goal in the 53rd minute through Abdoulaye Toure, but could not overturn the deficit, resulting in a 2-1 loss for the visitors.

Bernard Mensah, a 31-year-old former Atlético Madrid player, joined Al-Nasr on a two-year deal during the summer transfer window. Since his arrival, he has made four appearances in the UAE Pro League without recording any goals or assists, highlighting a challenging start to his tenure with the club.
