Inter Milan head coach Cristian Chivu was involved in a confrontation with a supporter during a training session, sparked by a remark made towards team captain Lautaro Martinez.

According to Corriere dello Sport, the incident occurred when a fan shouted at Martinez after he scored in training, saying, "Now do it on Sunday, too." Chivu reacted strongly, emphasizing respect for the players by stating, "Please, respect these players who are working. I don’t want to hear about Sunday or anything else!" Following his response, other supporters present cheered and applauded the coach.

Additionally, Martinez is scheduled to return to the starting lineup this week for the first time since Inter's defeat to Juventus two weeks ago. He had been sidelined due to back pain, missing the Champions League match against Ajax and only appearing as a substitute in the recent Serie A victory over Sassuolo. During his absence, young forward Francesco Pio Esposito stepped in and delivered impressive performances.
