Inter Milan President Giuseppe Marotta has stated that both Inter and AC Milan may be forced to leave San Siro if the ongoing disputes regarding the stadium's future are not resolved. He described the situation as "rather embarrassing," noting that football in Milan is being sidelined, particularly as San Siro no longer meets the criteria to host major events like the Champions League final and was not selected for Euro 2032.
Marotta criticized local politicians, calling them "conservative and not innovative," and emphasized that Milan deserves a new stadium given its status as a leading global city. He expressed cautious optimism, praising the work of Mayor Giuseppe Sala and hoping for a sensible resolution. Additionally, Marotta confirmed that Josep Martinez and Francesco Pio Esposito will replace Yann Sommer and Lautaro Martinez in the starting lineup for Inter's match against Sassuolo.
