The jersey-wearing was a nod to the upcoming start of the NFL regular season. Each player chose to wear the jersey of their favorite NFL team for the flight to Missouri.
A's shortstop Jacob Wilson expressed his enthusiasm, revealing he wore the jersey of Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers. He mentioned being a big Baltimore fan who already owns several Lamar Jackson jerseys back home.
