Liverpool are actively pursuing summer signings to strengthen their squad, specifically targeting a striker, centre-back, and left wing. They have already secured Florian Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong, and Milos Kerkez.
The club has made a significant £120m approach to Newcastle United for striker Alexander Isak, a long-term target. However, Newcastle maintain Isak is not for sale. Despite this, Liverpool believe Isak himself is open to a move to Anfield.
Liverpool are also attempting to sign Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi. This move is reportedly contingent on Palace first securing a replacement, specifically Sporting CP defender Ousmane Diomande for around £45m. Liverpool's interest follows the £35m sale of Jarell Quansah to Bayer Leverkusen and uncertainty over Ibrahima Konaté's future.
Guehi, who has only 12 months left on his contract and does not intend to sign a new deal, would be available on a free transfer next summer. Liverpool have reportedly already agreed personal terms with the player. Negotiations between Palace and Sporting for Diomande are advanced, but the £45m asking price is proving a sticking point.
