Liverpool have implemented several changes to their goalkeeping department this summer, aiming to provide experience to certain players and strengthen the pool with individuals showing potential to eventually challenge for the first-team starting role.
One key move involves Caoimhin Kelleher securing a permanent transfer to Brentford. This allows him to play regular Premier League football, moving out of Alisson Becker's shadow at Liverpool.
Another departure is Polish goalkeeper Jakub Ojrzynski. The 22-year-old, who joined Liverpool in 2019, made a Premier League matchday squad during the 2020/21 season under Jurgen Klopp but never made a senior appearance. He developed steadily through the academy, signing a professional contract and undertaking loan spells to improve.
Ojrzynski consistently struggled to break into the first-team setup, finding himself behind Alisson Becker and Caoimhin Kelleher in the pecking order, with Adrian also ahead of him for a period.
His contract expired at the beginning of the summer, making him a free agent. He has now completed a permanent transfer to Swedish club Orebro SK, signing a contract that runs until 2026.
