Alongside the rankings, NFL Nation reporters identified fantasy football surprises for each team, based on deviations from ESPN's preseason projections and current PPR scoring leaders.

For the Detroit Lions, who moved up in the rankings after beating the Cincinnati Bengals 37-24, the fantasy surprise is wide receiver Jameson Williams. Despite a 1,000-yard season in 2024, Williams has struggled in 2025, averaging only 7.9 fantasy points per game due to inconsistency and dropped passes, though he retains big-play potential.

The Buffalo Bills, who dropped in the rankings after losing to the Patriots 23-20, feature tight end Dalton Kincaid as their fantasy surprise.
