NBA veteran Richaun Holmes has agreed to join Greek EuroLeague powerhouse Panathinaikos Athens on a two-year contract. The deal, reported by Michael Scotto of Hoopshype and confirmed by Eurohoops, includes an option for the 2025-26 season.
Despite waiting for potential NBA offers, the 31-year-old Holmes will leave the NBA for the first time in his career. By signing with Panathinaikos, a seven-time EuroLeague champion, he will join former NBA players Kendrick Nunn and Jerian Grant.
Holmes, who has played 492 NBA games, began his career with the Philadelphia 76ers in 2015 after being drafted 37th overall. He has also played for the Phoenix Suns, Sacramento Kings, Dallas Mavericks, and Washington Wizards.
During the 2024-25 NBA season, Holmes averaged 7.4 points and 5.7 rebounds over 17.2 minutes per game in 31 appearances.
