The Baltimore Ravens held tryouts for free agent defensive tackle Jordan Riley and defensive back Jordan Whitehead on Friday.
Jordan Whitehead, recently visited by the Atlanta Falcons without securing a contract, was released by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this offseason due to salary cap constraints. He also received medical clearance following a car accident in January.
Whitehead, 28, was originally a fourth-round draft pick by the Buccaneers in 2018 out of Pittsburgh. He completed his four-year, $3.1 million rookie contract and became an unrestricted free agent in 2022, subsequently signing a two-year, $14.5 million deal with the New York Jets.
After his Jets contract expired, he returned to the Buccaneers on a two-year, $9 million deal (with incentives up to $10.5 million). However, Tampa Bay released him after just one season back with the team.
During the 2024 season with the Buccaneers, Whitehead appeared in 12 games, recording 79 total tackles, two tackles for loss, and three pass deflections. He was included in a Top 100 Available 2025 Free Agents list.
