Mohamed Salah has won the Premier League Golden Boot for the fourth time in the 2024-25 season, scoring 29 goals and providing 18 assists for Liverpool. The 33-year-old Egyptian also claimed the Professional Footballers' Association (PFA) men's player of the year award for a record third time, in addition to winning the Premier League player of the season and Football Writers' Association footballer of the year honors.
Aston Villa midfielder Morgan Rogers was named PFA young player of the year, becoming the fifth Villa player to win the award. The 23-year-old, signed from Middlesbrough for £15 million in 2024, scored 14 goals in 54 appearances across all competitions, helping Villa to a sixth-place Premier League finish, Champions League quarter-finals, and FA Cup semi-finals. He also earned his first senior England cap during the season.
Former England manager Sir Gareth Southgate received the PFA merit award for his contributions to football and achievements with the national team. Other players shortlisted for the men's player of the year included Liverpool's Alexis Mac Allister, Manchester United's Bruno Fernandes, Newcastle's Alexander Isak, Chelsea's Cole Palmer, and Arsenal's Declan Rice.
Additional award winners included Burnley goalkeeper James Trafford as Championship player of the year after keeping 29 clean sheets to secure promotion, and Richard Kone as League One player of the year after scoring 18 goals for Wycombe before moving to Queens Park Rangers.
