Indiana Fever player Sophie Cunningham will miss the remainder of the 2025 WNBA season after sustaining a torn MCL in her right knee during a game against the Connecticut Sun on August 17, which required surgical intervention.
Earlier in the season, Cunningham experienced a less severe but visually notable injury when she chipped a tooth in early June. On June 3, she shared a TikTok video showcasing the chipped tooth with the caption, "tell me you play in the W without telling me you play in the W." Her teammate, Caitlin Clark, responded humorously by posting an image from the movie *Dumb and Dumber* featuring a character with a similarly chipped tooth, tagging Cunningham in her Instagram story.
On August 25, Clark unveiled her new signature Nike logo, which features two interwoven "C"s with a hidden third "C," and announced that her signature product line will launch in 2026. This made her the fifth active WNBA player to have a personal logo. The following day, after a Fever victory over the Seattle Storm, Cunningham jokingly inserted herself into the conversation about signature logos by tweeting a photo of her chipped teeth with the caption, "I’ll never be cool enough to have my own signature logo, BUT IF I WAS, I would want it to be my top teeth of this photo." The post quickly went viral, amassing around 100,000 views within an hour.
Cunningham's lighthearted response demonstrates her willingness to engage with and laugh at jokes about herself, even amid a challenging season-ending injury.
