For the Bucks, the buyout provides increased salary cap flexibility, particularly if Micić did not receive the full $8.1 million guaranteed for the 2025-26 season. Meanwhile, Turkish club Fenerbahçe emerged as the leading candidate to sign him following talks in Istanbul last month, though his final destination remains uncertain.

As a two-time EuroLeague champion, Micić stands among the top available free agents in Europe's limited market. His desire to return to Europe has been publicly known since February, with reported salary demands of €5 million per season.
