Tyreek Hill's legal team is actively working to prevent allegations of domestic abuse against the Miami Dolphins wide receiver from being made public. They are seeking to keep court documents sealed that detail these accusations.

Six media outlets, including the Miami Herald and CBS4, have filed a motion in Miami-Dade circuit court requesting the unsealing of a document that alleges eight instances of domestic abuse. This document was initially filed by the attorney of Hill's estranged wife and has so far only been accessed by TMZ.

TMZ reported some of the allegations from the document, which claim that Hill violently attacked his wife by throwing her to the floor, twisting her intimate body parts, pulling her hair, and grabbing anything he could reach on her person. These details have brought significant attention to the case.

The attorney who filed the document, Evan R. Marks, stated that he did not request it to be sealed and has alleged threats from Hill's legal team. Marks reported that he was warned that if Hill suffered financial harm due to the document's release, Hill would pursue legal action against him, his client, and his firm personally.

The media outlets' motion argues that Florida law allows sealing court records only in narrow circumstances, and avoiding media or NFL scrutiny is not a valid reason for closure. They emphasize that public scrutiny is not grounds for keeping such records confidential.

The NFL has confirmed it is investigating the allegations, with TMZ reporting that the league's lead investigator, Lisa Friel, recently met with the attorney representing Hill's estranged wife. This indicates the league is taking the matter seriously.

Hill has been involved in previous NFL investigations, including a 2019 child abuse case where his son broke an arm, which was closed without charges or punishment. He also faced no disciplinary action for a 2021 incident where he allegedly assaulted a man at a Florida marina, highlighting a pattern of allegations without resulting suspensions.
