Italian reports indicate that Saudi Pro League club Al-Ahli is prepared to meet Juventus's asking price for winger Nico Gonzalez. Juventus is open to selling the player after just one season in Turin, following a relatively underwhelming debut campaign where he contributed three goals and two assists in 26 Serie A appearances.
Tactical reasons also factor into his potential departure, as manager Igor Tudor's preferred 3-4-2-1 system reportedly doesn't consistently maximize the Argentine international's abilities. Juventus sees Francisco Conceicao as the preferred option for the wing position next season if they can secure his return.
Juventus initially acquired Gonzalez on loan for the 2024-25 season for €8 million, with an obligation to buy for a further €25 million (excluding bonuses). Recent reports suggested Juventus would accept around €25 million to sell him this summer.
However, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Al-Ahli is ready to offer approximately €30 million to sign the 27-year-old this summer. Furthermore, Al-Ahli would be able to offer Gonzalez a significant salary increase, exceeding his current net earnings of €3.6 million per season at Juventus.
