The draw for the 2025 CAF Women's Champions League CECAFA qualifiers has been conducted, with the reigning champions, Commercial Bank of Ethiopia FC, placed in Group B alongside Rayon Sports WFC and Top Girls Academy from Burundi.
In Group A, Kenya Police Bullets FC will face debutants Denden SC from Eritrea and Kampala Queens from Uganda, who are handled by former Ethiopian women's coach Asefa Firew Hailegebreal. Group C consists of former champions JKT Queens from Tanzania, Yei Joint Stars FC from South Sudan, and JKU Princess FC from Zanzibar.
The zonal qualifiers are scheduled to take place from September 4 to 16, 2025, and will be hosted at Nyayo Stadium and Ulinzi Stadium. The draw was held on Tuesday afternoon at the SuperSport Studio in Nairobi, Kenya, assisted by CECAFA Competitions Manager Yusuf Mossi, along with Esse Mbeyu Akida and Kerubo Momanyi.
The qualification format stipulates that the best team in each group, along with the best second-placed team, will automatically advance to the semi-final stage. The winner of the qualifiers will earn the right to represent the CECAFA Zone at the 2025 CAF Women's Champions League.
