Charlton Athletic announced that 21-year-old midfielder Melissa Ross has signed a new one-year contract with the club, including an option for a further year. The deal was confirmed through the club's official website.
Ross originally joined Charlton from Liverpool in summer 2021 and rapidly became a key first-team player. She has made 71 appearances while scoring four goals, contributing significantly to the team's transition to full-time professionalism and their pursuit of promotion to the Barclays Women's Super League.
Expressing enthusiasm about her contract extension, Ross stated: "I am buzzing to be back... It's been really nice to be back involved with the girls." She becomes the latest in a series of players to renew with Charlton this summer, following recent new deals for Jodie Hutton, Gloria Siber, Karin Muya, Elisha N'Dow, Kiera Skeels, and Charlotte Newsham.
