Motherwell manager Jens Berthel Askou has stated that midfielder Lennon Miller is attracting significant transfer interest, but no concrete offers have been made yet, leaving the 18-year-old's future uncertain. Miller is entering the final year of his contract at Fir Park, and the Scottish Premiership club had anticipated a summer departure to secure a substantial transfer fee.
Despite the ongoing speculation, Miller remains with Motherwell and could feature in their opening League Cup match against Clyde this Saturday. New head coach Askou confirmed there is "a lot of interest" and "manoeuvring in the market" surrounding the player, though he stressed "there's nothing concrete right now, but it could change quickly."
Askou noted that interest in Miller is "increasing," but he emphasized that the young Scotland international is handling the situation professionally and is not demanding a move. The manager praised Miller, describing him as a "fantastic football player" and a "very, very big talent that you don't see very often," acknowledging that his eventual departure is expected ("the day will come"). Askou added that Miller is pleased with his current role in the team, which suits him well.
