Nike has officially launched the third signature basketball shoe for Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant, the Nike Ja 3. The global release of the "Light Show" colorway follows two limited-edition city-inspired versions ("EYBL" for Atlanta and "NYvsNY" for New York City), both of which sold out quickly.
The launch coincides with the conclusion of Morant's "Make Them Watch" world tour, which inspired a new Nike commercial released the same morning. The 21-second ad, posted on Nike's social media, showcases Morant dazzling defenders and spectators in the Ja 3, culminating in fans surrounding him and the message "Make Them Watch. Ja 3."
The campaign proved successful, with the Nike Ja 3 "Light Show" colorway selling out in all sizes within 30 minutes. While sold out at retail, the sneakers are available on resale platforms like eBay, StockX, and GOAT.
Priced at $125 for adults and $100 for big kids, the Nike Ja 3 features a breathable mesh upper with TPU claw marks on the sides, a full-length Hybrid ZoomX foam midsole for light weight and bounce, and a new micro-traction outsole pattern covered in mini Ja logos. Nike emphasizes its solid performance and exciting design at a reasonable price point.
Fans who missed the "Light Show" can expect numerous additional colorways over the next year. Morant himself previewed ten unreleased styles on his Instagram story last month, ranging from bold to sleek designs.
