The Jacksonville Jaguars aim to rebound in the 2025 season following two consecutive playoff misses, with quarterback Trevor Lawrence fully recovered from a concussion suffered last year.
During preseason training and games, ESPN NFL insider Michael DiRocco observed a significant improvement in the Jaguars' offensive line play. Specifically, DiRocco noted on social media that Lawrence has been able to step up in the pocket during the first two preseason games – space that was consistently lacking over the previous two seasons. This addresses a major area of concern where Lawrence previously lacked adequate time to operate.
The team's biggest offseason move was drafting Heisman Trophy-winning hybrid wide receiver/cornerback Travis Hunter from Colorado in late April. Hunter is expected to bring significant talent to both offense and defense for Jacksonville, though the team must still determine how to manage his playing time effectively across both positions.
The Jaguars continue their preseason preparations before their regular season opener at home against the Carolina Panthers on September 7.
