During a New York Knicks Summer League game against the Detroit Pistons, Karl-Anthony Towns, Miles McBride, and Mikal Bridges were in attendance. Teammate Josh Hart humorously commented on Towns' large sneakers in a photo shared by the NBA's social media, noting "Kat got them size 48s on."

The Knicks are coming off an Eastern Conference Finals appearance but replaced head coach Tom Thibodeau this offseason. They hired former Sacramento Kings coach Mike Brown, a two-time Coach of the Year who was fired midseason by the Kings. Brown aims to build accountability and a championship culture in New York.

Hart, Towns, and Bridges were key players in last season's playoff run and remain central to the team's future alongside Jalen Brunson. The Knicks bolstered their bench with offseason signings of Jordan Clarkson (Utah Jazz) and Guerschon Yabusele (Philadelphia 76ers).

It remains uncertain whether Summer League participants like Tyler Kolek, Mohamad Diawara, or Ariel Hukporti will contribute significantly during the regular season.
