Cayden Green, Missouri Tigers left guard, received preseason All-American recognition by being named to Sporting News' second-team on Wednesday. Penn State's Olaivavega Ioane secured the first-team left guard position ahead of him.
Green has earned first or second-team All-American honors from multiple outlets this season and was previously named to the All-SEC first-team. Missouri right guard Dominick Giudice praised Green's work ethic and leadership, stating he "holds people accountable" and is "one of the hardest workers" he's been around.
After transferring from Oklahoma before the 2023 season, Green started every game at left guard for Missouri last year. He is now one of only two returning starters on the Tigers' offensive line for the upcoming season.
Sporting News also named nine 2025 Missouri opponents to their Preseason All-American teams. The first-team selections include QB Arch Manning (Texas), RBs Jeremiyah Love (Notre Dame) and Isaac Brown (Louisville), WRs Jeremiah Smith (Ohio State), Ryan Williams (Alabama), and Jordyn Tyson (Arizona State), along with defensive standouts like DL Tim Keenan III (Alabama) and LB Anthony Hill Jr. (Texas).
The second-team features QB Cade Klubnik (Clemson), RBs Makhi Hughes (Oregon) and Nick Singleton (Penn State), WRs Eric Rivers (Georgia Tech), Antonio Williams (Clemson), and Carnell Tate (Ohio State), alongside Green at guard. Other notable selections include DL Zane Durant (Penn State), LB Sonny Styles (Ohio State), and DB KJ Bolden (Georgia).
