Belgium secured a dramatic late victory over Portugal, thanks to a goal from Janice Cayman. The match was tied late on after Portugal's Tatiana Pinto was brought down, leading to Jéssica Silva Encarnação scoring an equalizer in the 89th minute following a fine through ball.

Belgium almost retook the lead immediately after the restart when Tessa Wullaert hit a first-time shot from a Marie Detruyer cross, but the Portuguese goalkeeper made a good save. During added time, Belgium had a goal disallowed following a VAR check after the goalkeeper failed to deal with a situation; the initial finish was ruled out despite confusion over the reason.

However, Belgium scored the winner moments later. Wullaert delivered a corner from the left, the goalkeeper failed to clear it, and Detruyer's subsequent volley hit teammate Laura Deloose (Tysiak) in the chest before going into the net. Janice Cayman was credited with the decisive goal.

This result gave Belgium their first points of the tournament and eliminated Portugal's chances of progressing. In a separate match, Spain defeated Italy to confirm their position as group winners.
