Christopher Bonsu Baah has officially joined his new teammates at Saudi Pro League club Al Qadsiah at their pre-season training camp in the Netherlands. The club shared a video on social media on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, showing the 20-year-old winger arriving at the camp and being warmly greeted by staff and players as he begins his time with the club.
This marks Bonsu Baah's first appearance with Al Qadsiah since completing his transfer from Belgian club KRC Genk earlier this week. He signed a four-year contract worth over €16 million, which will keep him at the Saudi club until 2029. The formal signing and unveiling were finalized this week during the Dutch training camp where Al Qadsiah is preparing for the 2025/26 season.
Despite this significant move to Saudi Arabia, sources close to Bonsu Baah indicate that a future return to European football remains a possibility. The young Ghanaian is considered one of the country's brightest prospects, known for his pace and flair. His career trajectory saw him rise rapidly from Ghanaian third-tier side Shooting Stars to Norwegian club Sarpsborg in 2023.
After making an immediate impact in Norway with just 12 appearances, he moved to Genk in Belgium. During his two seasons with Genk, Bonsu Baah made 90 appearances, scoring 5 goals and providing 7 assists. His performances earned him his first call-up to Ghana's senior national team, the Black Stars, where he featured in recent friendlies against Nigeria and Trinidad and Tobago.
