A'ja Wilson led the Las Vegas Aces to a 91-81 victory over the Washington Mystics with 36 points and 13 rebounds, marking her 19th double-double of the season. The win extended the Aces' winning streak to 10 games.
Dana Evans contributed 21 points off the bench in just 23 minutes, while Jackie Young added 10 points for the Aces, who improved to a 24-14 record.
For the Washington Mystics, rookie Kiki Iriafen recorded 21 points and a career-high 15 rebounds, earning her 14th double-double of the season. Shakira Austin scored 18 points, and Sonia Citron added 13 in the loss.
The Mystics started strong, building a 15-point lead and ending the first quarter ahead 26-19, largely due to going 9 for 12 from the free-throw line. However, the Aces outscored the Mystics by 12 points in the second quarter, with Wilson scoring 11, to take a 44-39 halftime lead.
Las Vegas maintained control in the second half, leading 68-61 after three quarters and by as many as 18 points in the fourth. The Aces shot efficiently, making 10 of 20 three-pointers and 52% of their overall field goals, with 27 assists distributed among the team.
With this win, the Aces moved into third place in the standings, just half a game behind Atlanta for the second seed. They are scheduled to play next at Chicago on Monday and at Atlanta on Wednesday.
