Cristiano Ronaldo Receives Unique Award Courtesy of Primeira Liga

Cristiano Ronaldo, at 40 years old, continues his prolific scoring for both club and country. In two recent World Cup qualifying matches, he scored three goals, bringing his total for Portugal to 141 goals in 223 appearances, making him the clear leader in goals, appearances, and wins for the national team.

Despite winning the European Championship and Nations League with Portugal, Ronaldo is still pursuing the missing major trophy: the World Cup. Portugal is on track to qualify for the 2026 edition, and Ronaldo aims to help his team lift the trophy.

In addition to his international success, Ronaldo was honored by the Portuguese football league, Primeira Liga, with the "Best of All Time" award at the 2024-25 award ceremony, which he acknowledged via a video message.

Ronaldo began the new season with Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia, seeking his first league title with the club. After signing a new two-year deal and with new high-profile signings and a head coach, the team started strongly with a 5-0 win in their opening match, featuring a goal from Ronaldo.

If Ronaldo can secure the Saudi Pro League title and the World Cup in 2026, it would complete his collection of major trophies and further cement his legacy as one of the greatest footballers of all time.
