Decision Day 2025: What's at stake for every club?

Decision Day, the final day of the regular season before the Audi 2025 MLS Cup Playoffs, will take place on Saturday evening, featuring all 30 MLS teams competing in matches available via MLS Season Pass on Apple TV starting at 6 pm ET.

Atlanta United has been eliminated from playoff contention and can finish anywhere from 12th to 15th in the Eastern Conference, potentially ending in last place and earning the Wooden Spoon.

Austin FC has secured a playoff spot for the first time since 2022 and is locked into sixth place in the Western Conference, ensuring their participation in Round One.

Charlotte FC is aiming to secure home-field advantage in Round One by finishing in the top four of the Eastern Conference; currently in fourth place, a win would achieve this, but a loss could drop them to sixth.

Chicago Fire FC, back in the playoffs for the first time since 2017, could avoid the Eastern Conference Wild Card match entirely; as the eighth seed, they would currently host the Wild Card, but a win could elevate them to sixth place and a direct entry into Round One.

FC Cincinnati, currently second in the Eastern Conference, can retain the No. 2 seed by outperforming Inter Miami's result on Decision Day, but any slip-up could see them fall to third place.

Colorado Rapids are competing for a Western Conference Wild Card spot, tied with Real Salt Lake on 40 points but in 10th due to the total wins tiebreaker; they could secure a Wild Card position with a win combined with dropped points from RSL or FC Dallas, or a draw and a loss from either team.

Columbus Crew currently occupies the ninth and final playoff position in the Eastern Conference, which would require them to travel for the Wild Card match, but they could advance directly to Round One as the No. 7 seed if results are favorable.

FC Dallas is eighth in the Western Conference and, under current standings, would host the Wild Card game.
