Cagliari are determined to secure an agreement with Inter for striker Sebastiano Esposito and are set to resume negotiations in the coming days. The Sardinian club, owned by Tommaso Giulini, initially contacted Inter on July 2 and is now pushing to finalize a deal.
Esposito has one year remaining on his contract at Inter, who value him at €7 million. He spent the 2024-25 season on loan at Empoli, where he scored eight goals in 33 Serie A appearances, and has also attracted interest from Fiorentina and Parma, both of whom have inquired about his availability.
While a potential player-plus-cash swap deal involving Giovanni Leoni with Parma was previously considered, Inter's current priority is the signing of Ademola Lookman from Atalanta. Esposito returned to Inter briefly for the Club World Cup earlier this summer after his loan spell at Empoli.
