Falcons RB Bijan Robinson was truly untouchable on the Vikings’ turf

Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson played a pivotal role in the team's 22-6 victory over the Minnesota Vikings, forming a powerful rushing duo with Tyler Allgeier that collectively gained 218 yards on 38 attempts.

Robinson was particularly dominant, carrying the ball 22 times for 143 yards and proving nearly unstoppable in the hostile road environment, which eased the pressure on quarterback Michael Penix Jr.

The Falcons found significant success using outside zone plays, allowing Robinson to read defensive lanes and evade tacklers effectively—a major improvement from his limited involvement in Week 1, where he received only 12 carries.

Offensive versatility, including 11 personnel packages and shifts between shotgun and pistol formations, enabled varied attack strategies, with Robinson frequently exploiting the B-gap and off-tackle lanes while Allgeier powered through the A-gap.

Head coach Raheem Morris emphasized a run-heavy approach to maintain offensive momentum, believing that sustained success on the ground will eventually create opportunities for the passing game as the season progresses.
